NEW!! BHS STAGE II STABLE MANAGEMENT COURSE
On Mondays at 7pm from the 17th October we will be starting our stable management course, which is aligned with the BHS Stage II syllabus. The course is designed for those wishing to take the stage II exam, but is also suited to existing horse owners who want a more in depth knowledge. (you are welcome to pick and choose the lectures you would like to attend in this case).
Lecture fees are £5 per hour including a test paper and are preceded by a 1 hour riding lesson at 6pm. The first lecture relates to the skeleton of the horse.

Have you been graded?? In order to make sure all our riders are always improving and are grouped together by ability we run a grading system, your instructor will tell you when they think you are ready to be graded – which takes place as part of a normal lesson. There is a fee of £2 for each grading and those who pass are given a rosette. There are currently 5 rosettes to collect! We will be running grading days over the half term holiday (see below).
Full Time BHS (Working Pupil)
We offer full time courses leading to the BHSAI examination, and covering all the essential pre requisites to gain this certificate, whilst living and working at the farm (self catering).
We can offer fast track courses depending on the individuals proven experience which are fee paying. Please enquire for prices.
Part Time BHS (Fee Paying)
If you wish to take a different route in attaining your goal, there are opportunities to attend regulra sessions towards BHS stage 1 and 2 at this centre.
Please enquire for availability – weekend or weekly attendance can be made by arrangement.
Specialised Competition Training
Daryl Connock is a succesful showjumper at Limes Farm and will be able to provide one to one training for competitions on your own horse or one of ours.
Horse Ownership Certificates
Subject to demand we can offer the Novice owner a practical course dealing with horse ownership. Group sessions. Please enquire for current courses and prices.
